Jim became a believer in the power of story after nearly dying in the Grand Canyon overnight — which happened right after spending a summer studying Mime and Kabbaluki in Israel. Now that's a story. And yes, he knows you want to hear it.

Since then, he's spent 20+ years as a writer, director, and producer in unscripted television (Apple+, Discovery, MTV/VH1), working on everything from Emmy-nominated documentaries to reality shows based on animal mating rituals. He's also done time in scripted TV writers' rooms and as a stand-up comic at Caroline's and Gotham Comedy Club.

These days, he applies that methodology to founder-led brands as a story partner — not a vendor. That means he tells you when your brand story isn't working yet, then helps you find the real one. Think of him as a showrunner for your content, except the show is your business and the protagonist is you.

Chris is the reason everything actually works.

He's been editing for decades — network reality shows, documentaries, brand films — and somewhere along the way became the person producers call when a project is broken and nobody knows how to fix it. He's cut 50+ hours of footage into a 3-minute story that made someone cry. He's built entire narratives from shoots that went sideways. He's the one you want in the room when the plan falls apart.

He's also Jim's co-director and editor on both documentary and brand projects, which means he's the one who turns "here's the framework" into "here's the finished film." And when something needs designing, building, or solving that has nothing to do with editing, he'll probably do that too.

Fair warning: if you tell him something's impossible, he'll take it as a challenge. Sand traps, however, remain undefeated.
